So-En is a Japanese fashion magazine that features monthly news about the creative scene, mainly from Japan, but also internationally. Topics are news from Stylists, Photographers, Illustrators, Actors, Architects, Designers about Music, Food, Movies, Galleries and Art. In their January 2009 issue they have set up a Newcomer’s File. Under the title “Who’s Next, What’s Next London” CABARET artists ContainerPLUS were introduced.

Here is the English version of the Japanese article:

ContainerPLUS

A creative team of five women

Nearby the Tate Modern Gallery London, five women, the illustrators Luise Vormittag & Nicola Carter, the photographer Patricia Niven and the set designers Anna Fulmine & Victoria Shahrokh, are working together as the creative team ContainerPLUS.

This group of five is new. Luise and Nicola worked together as Container since they graduated from the Camberwell University of the Arts in 2002. In 2008 they decided to make a new start with three new members. The concept of the group is to use everybody’s skills in illustration, photography and set design and combine it to new artworks.  The idea is to show a world of a rich dark esprit and a unique fantasy. 3dimensional illustrations and photographies get empowered with life、they seem to communicate with the audience. The “invention of a fairy tale” gives a clue about ContainerPLUS’ passion “Every artist has her own individuality. We are bringing  everyones skill and sense together and are able to communicate in the wide range of 360 degrees. This makes it possible to show our audience a new experience”. Listening to this comment, we are looking forward to new transboundary and multi-genre works of ContainerPLUS.
