David Byrne, the former frontman of the band Talking Heads and a passionate bicyclist for almost 30 years,
designed 9 unique bicycle racks, that have been set up in NYC and Brooklyn.
Reason for this design idea was a design competition that was held by the NY Department of Transport this Summer 2008. David Byrne was asked to be part of the jury, but liked the idea so much that he submitted his own designs as well…. successfully!
